Schlep, a 22-year-old YouTuber with around 650,000 subscribers, has been banned from Roblox after allegedly violating the platform’s terms of use and community standards through his continued “predator hunting” activities.
Schlep shared screenshots on social media of what he claims is a cease-and-desist letter from a law firm representing Roblox. The letter ordered him to stop accessing the platform, citing unauthorized and harmful activities that undermine Roblox’s safety efforts and expose users to increased risk.
While the letter acknowledged Schlep’s stated intention to protect children, it criticized his failure to report suspicious activity through official channels and claimed his methods interfere with established safety protocols.
In a YouTube video, Schlep said he has been playing Roblox since age eight and credited the platform with personal connections, including meeting his girlfriend.
He claimed his actions over the years contributed to the arrest of six alleged predators and said an anonymous child once thanked him for stopping a groomer.
Schlep added that he was groomed on Roblox in the past and his mother’s report to the company did not result in a ban for the alleged offender — a factor in his decision to track down predators himself. He stated he will not return to the platform or create a new account.
A Roblox spokesperson told Indy100 that the company prioritizes user safety through comprehensive on-platform abuse reporting tools and works with trained professionals and law enforcement.
They emphasized that safety enforcement should not be handled by individual users. Roblox also operates a “trusted flagger” program for serious criminal concerns, which are promptly investigated and actioned.
