Flood funding: CM orders relief efforts for Sindh

KHANEWAL: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered all district coordination officers (DCOs) to arrange food and relief items and send them to flood zones in Sindh.  DCO Rashid Mahmood has asked that all executive district officers (EDOs) and district officers (DOs) contact philanthropists, traders and people from civil society to persuade them to donate whatever they can to help flood victims in Sindh. The EDO (Agriculture) asked commission agents working in the food grain market and traders dealing in fertilisers, seeds and pesticides to donate food for the affected people. Traders have begun preparing food packets, officials said.
