The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Information Technology Board has launched a one-month voluntary internship programme at the Kashmir Institute of Management (KIM) for the graduates of its recent four-month training course.
The programme officially began on Monday with the aim of enhancing participants' practical skills and familiarizing youth with the use of modern technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Prompt Engineering, in the public sector.
The inaugural session provided a comprehensive briefing on the objectives and structure of the internship, as well as the mission and role of KIM in training government officials. This was followed by a series of hands-on training sessions.
Key speakers at the event included Tariq Mehmood Butt, Abrar Ahmed, AJK Secretary of Information Technology Muhammad Rashid Hanif and KIM Director General Dr Muqeem-ul-Islam.
Hanif emphasized the importance of equipping youth with cutting-edge technical skills and praised the efforts of the institute in this regard.
Dr Islam thanked the chief guest and highlighted that KIM is a leading institution committed to strengthening governance through training and research. At the conclusion of the programme, all participants will be awarded formal experience certificates.
