ISLAMABAD:

Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Thursday underscored the urgency of adopting structural reforms to safeguard the energy sector's viability.

The deputy prime minister chaired a high-level meeting to review pressing challenges facing Pakistan's energy sector and explore solutions for long-term financial and operational stability, a DPM's Office news release said.

He directed the relevant ministries and departments to submit concrete policy proposals aimed at reducing losses, rationalising subsidies, and reforming pricing structures, with a focus on ensuring long-term sectoral stability and economic efficiency.
