MrBeast has revealed he is planning a real-life competition inspired by The Hunger Games, with a $1 million prize on the line. Known for his large-scale YouTube challenges, the creator has been exploring the logistics of hosting a survival-style event that remains safe for participants.
The concept, shared during an interview, involves selecting 26 people and placing them on an island where they would compete using simulated combat methods like laser tag. The competition would continue until one individual remains, who would win the $1 million prize.
“I’ve been sitting on this idea where it’d be fun to grab potentially 26 random people, put them on an island, and – not use real weapons, maybe like laser tag or something – and then the last remaining one wins a million dollars to recreate Hunger Games in real life. I think that’d absolutely crush,” MrBeast said.
The idea follows the success of Beast Games, which featured over 1,000 contestants and broke Amazon Prime viewership records.
MrBeast has consistently run high-stakes challenges involving isolation and endurance, making the proposed concept a natural progression for his content.
While no official timeline has been confirmed, MrBeast hinted that the idea could either be realised as a full-scale production or adapted for his animated series if necessary.
