The Supreme Court of Pakistan has modified the Sindh High Court's (SHC) decision in response to an appeal by the Sindh government against the provincial high court's directives for appointing focal persons in government departments.
A bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim heard the case at the Karachi Registry.
The court accepted the Sindh government's appeal and amended the SHC's verdict.
The high court had earlier ordered the use of modern communication devices and the appointment of focal persons in provincial government departments.
