PCB unveils schedule for Pakistan's tri-series with Afghanistan and UAE
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the schedule for the upcoming T20I tri-nation series involving Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE. The tournament will be held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
The tri-series will act as a warm-up event ahead of the much-anticipated ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, which begins on September 9. All matches in the tri-series will be played under lights.
The competition will kick off on August 29, with Pakistan taking on Afghanistan in the opening match. The round-robin format will see each team playing against the others twice. The top two teams will advance to the final on September 7.

However, the PCB suggested transforming it into a tri-series in the UAE to help players familiarise themselves with the conditions ahead of the Asia Cup.
The Asia Cup, scheduled from September 9 to 28, will be a T20-format tournament featuring eight teams. Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman are in Group A, while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong make up Group B.
Pakistan’s campaign starts on September 12, with their high-profile match against India on September 14.

29 August: Afghanistan vs Pakistan
30 August: UAE vs Pakistan
1 September: UAE vs Afghanistan
2 September: Pakistan vs Afghanistan
4 September: Pakistan vs UAE
5 September: Afghanistan vs UAE
7 September: Final
All matches will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, starting at 7:00 PM local time.
