In a series of recent interviews, the 81-year-old actor firmly shut down speculation about stepping away from Hollywood, emphasizing his continued passion for acting.

While promoting the third season of the Apple TV+ series Shrinking, Ford was asked directly whether he’s thinking about retiring.

His response was definitive: “I don’t do well when I don’t have work.”

He added that having something to engage with, whether on a TV set or in a major film franchise, still gives him purpose and energy.

Ford stars in Shrinking as Dr. Paul Rhoades and is also part of the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Brave New World, where he’ll play General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

Despite his long and storied career, Ford said he has no intention of slowing down.

“I love it,” he shared. “I’m not retiring.”

The legendary actor has remained active across genres and platforms, from his iconic Indiana Jones role to modern streaming series and superhero blockbusters.

His comments put an end to recent questions about whether he might step back from the spotlight, and confirm that, for Harrison Ford, the work is far from over.
