Travis Kelce brought joy to millions of young fans on Saturday, July 26, with a surprise appearance in the hit Roblox game Grow a Garden.
The NFL star, known for his role with the Kansas City Chiefs and his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift, joined the game’s weekly admin update, which drew in over 6 million players.
The event began with a giant football meteor landing in the game world, signalling Kelce’s entrance. He teamed up with Grow a Garden creator Janzen “Jandel” Madsen for a football-themed update that included exclusive gameplay elements and rare rewards.
Kelce’s visit featured unique in-game events like a touchdown celebration where he hung from goal posts and a “cold tornado” that mutated players' fruits. The update transformed the map into a football stadium, marking a one-of-a-kind experience for players.
During the event, Kelce also introduced exclusive content: a limited-edition Football Pet, a running football with arms and legs that boosts fruit value, and a Football Seed that grows footballs in players’ gardens. These items are only available during the event and are not expected to return.
Kelce even shared personal favourites from the game, revealing that strawberries are his top pick, while bananas are his least liked fruit. His surprise cameo was part of an ongoing series of admin events hosted each Saturday at 8 am ET, known for delivering rare items and surprise guests.
