To mark the 30th anniversary of New Mobile Report Gundam Wing, Bandai Spirits has unveiled a new RG 1/144 scale model of the Wing Gundam Zero, based on its original appearance in the 1995 anime.According to CBR The updated Gunpla kit features an entirely new mold, showcasing advanced articulation, high detail, and a more faithful design to the TV series version of the iconic mobile suit.

As part of that lineup, the updated Wing Gundam Zero figure joins Bandai Spirits’ “Real Grade” (RG) Gunpla line, known for blending compact scale with intricate mechanical engineering. This latest version omits the angelic wings seen in Endless Waltz in favor of the more grounded aesthetic from the original series. Notable features include a highly poseable “Wing Binder” mechanism with a 5-axis joint, deployable fins, movable external nozzles, and openable components in the shoulders, cockpit, and chest to reveal detailed inner mechanics.

The Gunpla also includes signature weapons: a twin beam rifle, shield, and dual beam sabers that can be stored in the armor. Interchangeable hand options are also provided for dynamic display. True to the anime, the model transforms into the Neo Bird mode, replicating the mobile suit’s high-speed aerial formation.

Scheduled for release in September 2025, the RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero will retail for 4,620 yen, approximately $32 USD. The launch is one of several anniversary-themed products celebrating both the Japanese debut of Gundam Wing in 1995 and its U.S. release five years later via Toonami.

As the Gundam franchise looks to its legacy, this new collectible offers fans both nostalgia and upgraded design—a fitting tribute to one of the franchise’s most enduring mobile suits.
