Digitisation a must for oil supply chain

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has formally launched a digital platform to fully digitise Pakistan's oil supply chain, covering everything from import terminals to fuel dispensing stations. The initiative, now in advanced stages of development, aims to eliminate inefficiencies, prevent pilferage, and restore public confidence in the energy sector.
Chairman OGRA, Masroor Khan, declared the digitisation mandatory. "From the point of import to the petrol pump, every link in the supply chain must be digitally monitored," he said. "Digitisation is essential for operational efficiency, transparency, and national integrity."
He warned, "Let me be clear: any obstruction to digitisation will be addressed firmly. We cannot allow outdated systems to hold back national progress."
