A woman in Shahdadpur appealed to law enforcement authorities for protection from her own son, who she claims has been threatening and mistreating the family over property disputes.

Rubina Rajput, a resident of Bismillah Town, staged a protest along with her ailing husband Aqeel Ahmed Rajput and their children, alleging abuse and threats by her elder son, Muhammad Zamad.

Rubina said that three years ago, Zamad Rajput married a woman of his choice against the family's wishes. Despite this, the family allowed him to stay in their home, but he left after two months. Since then, she said, Zamad has shown no respect for his family and has grown increasingly abusive.

She added that even though her husband is unwell, he continues to work to support their household. in a singl The family, including six children, live in a single house. Rubina alleged that Zamad, with the backing of his in-laws, has been harassing the family and demanding his share in the property.

"He has issued repeated threats, including death threats, and warned of dire consequences," Rubina said.

Due to the constant harassment, the family says they are living in fear and have no sense of safety in their own home. Aqeel has formally disowned his son, citing his misconduct.
