BTS Jin parodies Astronomer CEO's Coldplay concert scandal during Anaheim show segment

During his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR stop in Anaheim, BTS’s Jin took a playful detour from his setlist to parody a viral Coldplay concert moment involving Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR executive Kristin Cabot.

While playing a charades game with the audience, the word “Coldplay” flashed on screen.

Jin hesitated at first, but quickly recognised the cue and re-enacted the now-famous kisscam moment, where Byron and Cabot awkwardly hugged and ducked their heads as the camera zoomed in on them.

The original footage had gone viral online after fans spotted the pair's shy exchange at a Coldplay show.

Jin’s surprise mimicry drew laughs and applause, further fuelling the popularity of the clip, which had already caught the attention of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Reacting to the moment during his own concert, Martin had said, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

BTS is currently based in the US, recording their first group single in four years, scheduled for release in spring 2026. With all seven members reunited, anticipation is building for a new era in the band’s journey.
