Lil Baby is making headlines after revealing several new tattoos in recent Instagram posts, sparking a wave of social media attention.
The rapper shared a series of images on Instagram with the caption, “Back in that mode.” Fans quickly spotted large tattoos reading “’90s” and “Baby” on his right and left thighs, respectively. Another tattoo, “CBFW,” is visible running down his lower left leg, first seen in an earlier post.
The tattoos have caused buzz, largely because Lil Baby has previously expressed strong views against body art.
In a 2020 interview with The New York Times, he explained, “That’s why I ain’t got no tattoos, because I always knew I was going to run my money up, and I was going to have to go sit in front of some people to do something with my money. And I didn’t want them to look at me like a dope boy.”
This isn't the first time he’s stirred attention over tattoos. In 2023, Lil Baby was seen with arm tattoos that turned out to be temporary, worn during a video shoot. He explained at the time, “These fake tattoos don't wash off easily, and I just went to the meeting and really didn't even realize they were still there.”
Now, with these new, unmistakably permanent tattoos, the rapper seems more comfortable embracing body art. With the international leg of his WHAM tour set to begin in September, Lil Baby appears unconcerned about how his image may be perceived.
