Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has launched a full-fledged acting and music academy in the United Kingdom, expanding his efforts to train aspiring entertainers.
Speaking to journalists in London, Khan revealed that what began as a music academy has now evolved to include acting courses.
In an announcement, he revealed that his first film was produced two years ago, and another, a feature-length film, is slated for release by the end of 2025. The movie will be screened in 50 cinemas across Pakistan.
“The primary aim is to give new talent a platform,” he stated. “I always had a passion for the entertainment industry, but it was ten years ago that I realised this is truly my calling.”
The academy, located in the UK, will now offer training in acting, with a particular focus on language and expression.
“We will start by refining the students’ accents,” Khan explained. “They’ll be taught Urdu, English, and Punjabi, as mastering these three languages is essential for acting.”
He emphasised that his academy will provide visibility to its students through his own social media reach. “I believe major filmmakers will approach me directly in the future, as I plan to promote my trained singers and actors myself,” he said.
Addressing tensions with other artists, he noted, “I don’t understand why some singers have reservations about me. I’ve only ever believed in hard work, and that’s what I’ve consistently done for the past ten years.”
