JDC head's SUV involved in hit-and-run case

Both injured men were rushed to a hospital on Sharae Faisal

KARACHI:

A high-speed SUV, registered under the name of JDC Foundation's Syed Zafar Abbas, struck a motorcycle near Ancholi critically injuring two young men.

Reportedly, Abbas's driver, Raib Raza Naqvi, was driving at the time of the accident.

The victims, Abdul Ahad, 18, and Hanif, 19, are cousins. Ahad's condition is reported to be critical.

The accident occurred when the speeding vehicle bearing registration number LEH-0110 collided with the motorcycle and fled the scene. Eyewitnesses picked up the number plate, which had fallen off during the collision.

Both injured men were rushed to a hospital on Sharae Faisal. Later, they were transferred to another hospital for further treatment.

Syed Zafar Abbas reportedly visited the first hospital and facilitated the victims' transfer to the second facility.

SHO Samanabad Rana Ajmal reported that following the incident, both the vehicle and the driver were made to disappear from the scene.

Police visited the hospital to record the victims' statements, but due to their critical condition, the statements could not be taken.
