
Hailey Bieber has shared her view on the ongoing butter yellow trend, describing it as “played out” as she announced the launch of rhode’s latest Peptide Lip Tint in Lemontini.
Hailey Bieber posted campaign images on Instagram, featuring herself by the clear blue water in a black swimsuit, sipping a lemon cocktail while promoting the new lip tint.
Responding to questions about the shade, she commented, “It’s not butter yellow because it’s LEMON. not butter. and butter yellow is played out.. respectfully.”
Butter yellow has been a notable trend on red carpets and runways, worn by figures including Kate Middleton and Timothée Chalamet.
Rhode’s Lemontini shade, described as a sheer gold with a shimmery finish, takes inspiration from a “sweet, citrusy lemon cocktail” and contains nourishing skincare ingredients.
The launch follows Rhode’s recent acquisition by e.l.f. Beauty under a $1 billion deal, just three years after Bieber founded the brand in June 2022.
Bieber will continue as Rhode’s founder while also taking on roles as chief creative officer and head of innovation, overseeing product development and marketing, and acting as a strategic advisor for the combined companies.
The new product will be available from July 14 on rhodeskin.com.
