Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially confirmed their breakup after nearly a decade together.
Representatives for the 40-year-old pop star and 48-year-old actor released a joint statement addressing ongoing speculation, stating that the couple’s focus has shifted toward co-parenting their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the reps told Just Jared on July 3, 2025. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
The confirmation follows a month of rumors and media reports about the couple’s split. Katy and Orlando first began dating in 2016 and were engaged by 2019. They welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020.
While the statement did not elaborate on the cause of the breakup, sources close to the pair previously hinted at lifestyle differences and long-term compatibility challenges. Despite ending their romantic relationship, both stars appear committed to maintaining a strong family bond for the sake of their daughter.
Fans may still see them together in public, as the former couple prioritizes Daisy’s well-being in this next chapter of their lives.
