Comedian Kathy Griffin, 64, has sparked concern among fans after recent paparazzi photos showed her makeup-free during a walk in Malibu.
Sporting her natural gray hair and a white T-shirt from her 2018 Laugh Your Head Off World Tour, Griffin looked nearly unrecognizable to many, reigniting online chatter amid ongoing controversy surrounding her past actions involving Donald Trump.
The Suddenly Susan star was seen accompanied by a male companion. Her appearance quickly became a trending topic, with social media users comparing her to Pennywise from IT, and questioning if she was okay. The photo comes as Griffin remains in the spotlight following a TikTok post in which she featured graphic imagery of severed heads of Donald Trump and other billionaires, reigniting backlash from the infamous 2017 Trump photo scandal.

Griffin’s latest appearance also raised concern in light of her health history. In April 2025, she underwent a hysterectomy to address a precancerous condition. She also survived stage 1 lung cancer in 2021, despite never smoking, which required the removal of part of her lung and permanently altered her voice.
Additionally, Griffin revealed in 2023 that she had been diagnosed with complex PTSD, largely triggered by the fallout from the Trump photo. She has also been open about her past struggles with pill addiction and suicidal thoughts.
Despite the online criticism, fans and mental health advocates are urging compassion and understanding, citing her openness about her trauma and recovery.
