Liam Gallagher is facing backlash after posting a racially offensive phrase on X (formerly Twitter) just months before Oasis’s long-awaited concert in Seoul.
On July 1, 2025, the former Oasis frontman tweeted the slur “Ching-Chaeng-Chong,” a phrase long criticized for mocking East Asian languages and appearances.

Though he deleted the post shortly after, screenshots quickly circulated online sparking outrage among international fans, particularly those in Asia.

as much as I love Liam Gallagher his comments today were insensitive and racist, I'm so sorry that Asian fans had to read that and feel offended, there's no way defending him, Liam is a 52 year old idiot, not a kid.
