President Donald Trump and Paramount Global are reportedly in advanced settlement discussions over a $20 billion lawsuit Trump filed concerning a 60 Minutes interview aired during the 2024 election cycle.

The lawsuit centers on the CBS segment featuring Kamala Harris, which Trump claims was edited in a way that unfairly influenced public perception during the campaign.

Harris is not involved in the case and has not publicly commented.

Court filings confirm that both parties have paused litigation to allow for confidential negotiations. A proposed $20 million settlement is reportedly being considered, with most of the amount directed to Trump’s foundation and the rest covering legal expenses and public messaging.

Paramount has denied the allegations and is also seeking dismissal of the case.

The talks come as Paramount moves forward with a proposed merger with Skydance Media, currently under regulatory review.

No final agreement has been reached, but the litigation pause indicates that both sides are actively working toward resolution.
