KARACHI:

Karachi police have arrested three suspects, including a brother and two sisters who are popular TikTok personalities, in connection with a high-profile armed robbery involving over Rs130 million in cash and valuables from a home in the PECHS Block 2 area.

According to police, the suspects posed as Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials to carry out the heist, which took place in the early hours of June 26. Ferozabad SHO Inam Junejo said the robbery occurred at around 3:30 am when the victim, Muhammad Saalik, returned to his residence on Khalid Bin Waleed Road and was ambushed while parking his car.

Two armed men and three burqa-clad women emerged from a black vehicle, held Saalik hostage, and forced him inside the house. One suspect wore an FIA-style uniform bearing the agency’s logo to appear authentic, police said.

Once inside, the suspects looted Rs130 million in cash, nine mobile phones including iPhones and Google Pixels, 20 luxury watches, a smartwatch, 25 branded perfumes, two laptops, and other valuables at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.

Using CCTV footage and advanced technology, police identified and arrested three suspects: two women, Yousra and Nimra, and their brother Shehryar. A fourth suspect, Shahroz, remains at large.

Investigative sources revealed that Yousra Zeb is a well-known TikTok personality and has modelled for various Pakistani brands. Her social media accounts feature photos with local and international celebrities.

Police are also probing Yousra’s possible involvement in other robberies linked to the same gang. Jamshed Division SP confirmed that the suspects wore fake FIA uniforms during the heist to mislead the victim.

“The suspects were identified through their TikTok videos and social media presence,” a police spokesperson said. “Efforts are underway to recover the stolen money and items, and raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accomplices.”

A case has been registered at Ferozabad Police Station under the complainant’s account against unknown individuals.
