Forget ‘Friends’. Jennifer Aniston wants to reboot this comedy classic

Jennifer Aniston isn’t planning a return to Friends anytime soon but there is another past project she’s seriously considering revisiting. In a new interview with People, the actress revealed that she and her former co-stars from Horrible Bosses have discussed bringing the chaotic comedy back.

“Oh my God, this literally came up the other day,” Aniston said, referring to the 2011 film and its 2014 sequel. “Jason Bateman and I were talking about it, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too.”

The actress, now 56, says the idea of reuniting with the original cast to revisit those outrageous characters feels more timely than ever. “The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy,” Aniston shared. “I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one we would have a really fun time going back to, seeing where those crazy cats are today.”

While her role as Rachel Green in Friends remains iconic, Aniston has built a diverse career across film and television, including hits like Marley & Me, We’re the Millers, and The Morning Show, where she currently stars and serves as producer. But there’s still one thing left on her bucket list: Broadway.

“I definitely want to do a Broadway play,” she said, noting that the challenge lies in finding the right story and timing.

In the meantime, fans can catch Aniston this fall when The Morning Show returns for season 4 on Apple TV+.
