Watan cards: 49,000 families in Layyah to get cards

Watan cards worth Rs20,000 each are being distributed; Rs990,000,000 will be distributed among 49,000 families.

Watan cards worth Rs20,000 each are being distributed between residents of the Layyah district. Under the program Rs990,000,000 will be distributed among 49,000 families.


Provincial agriculture and livestock minister Ahmed Ali Aulakh inaugurated a special centre at Zila Council hall to help with the distribution of Watan Cards in this regard. District coordination officer (DCO) Javed Iqbal, National Data Registry Authority (Nadra) GM Multan Region Col (retd) Muhammad Safdar, UBL officials, EDO (Revenue) Ziaullah and a large number of flood victims were present on the occasion. Ahmed Ali Aulakh said that the rehabilitation of flood affected people was the responsibility of civil society as well as the government. On the occasion, Multan NADRA general manager Col (retd) Muhammad Safdar briefed the minister about the methods being used to distribute the cards. “We will ensure Watan Cards are distributed efficiently and are handed out on time to all those in need,” he said.
