NHA holds first-ever toll auction

The National Highway Authority (NHA) conducted a public auction of toll plazas for the first time in the country's history. During this process, 68 Toll Plazas were auctioned.
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan issued instructions for this auction in a transparent manner and played a vital role in making this process a success. The aim of conducting the public auction was to provide business opportunities to investors and businessmen through a transparent process.
NHA took several steps to keep the entire auction process transparent. Representatives of print and electronic media were specially invited to observe the auction process, while a comprehensive publicity campaign was also launched earlier.
The toll plazas auctioned include toll plazas located in different areas of the country. The auctioned toll plazas include Jamshoro, Saeedabad, Moro, Kandiaro, Ranipur, Rohri, Sadiqabad, Ahmedpur East, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Pattoki, Kalashah Kaku, Okara (ETTM), Gujranwala, Jehlum, Mandra, Iqbal Shaheed, Qutabpur, Sultan Bahoo Bridge, Talibwala Bridge, Koza Banda, Karachi Northern Bypass, Nowshera, Mansehra, Hassanabdal, Makran Coastal Highway, Chowk Sarwar and Fatehpur.
Minister Abdul Aleem Khan congratulated the NHA officials for conducting the successful public auction. The public auction of toll plazas located on various busiest highways across the country was held at Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad, in which a large number of investors participated. The auction process began at 10:30am.
