Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have officially finalized their divorce more than a year after publicly announcing the end of their marriage. The former couple confirmed the news on Friday through identical statements shared to their Instagram Stories.

“Our divorce has now been finalised,” they wrote. “We are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children. We ask for the media to continue to respect our children’s privacy.”

While the specific terms of the divorce settlement remain undisclosed, the pair has reportedly handled the process amicably. Cohen, 53, and Fisher, 49, initially revealed in April 2023 that they had filed for divorce. Their joint statement at the time likened the end of their relationship to a tennis match: “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down.”

According Page Six the couple had been quietly living separate lives before the public announcement and that Cohen had met with legal representatives in Hollywood in late 2023, although divorce proceedings were filed in London, where the family resides.

Despite speculation about potential tensions, an insider told Page Six in February that the split had been relatively smooth. “All divorces have their challenges, but things have gone pretty smoothly with Isla and Sacha,” the source said, noting their mutual focus on parenting.

In a candid interview with The Sunday Times, Fisher described the divorce as “the most difficult thing I’ve been through,” but emphasized her dedication to co-parenting. The couple, who married in 2010 after meeting in 2001, share three children — two daughters and a son.
