Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, expressed his joy for girlfriend Taylor Swift after she regained the rights to her music.
In an episode of the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by Travis and his brother Jason Kelce, the two shared their excitement.
A teaser clip from the June 4 episode featured Shaquille O’Neal playing Swift’s hit “I Knew You Were Trouble” on his phone’s loudspeaker, with the brothers visibly enjoying the track. At one point, Travis raised his hands in excitement while singing along to the lyrics.
Travis then offered a heartfelt shout-out to Swift, acknowledging her recent accomplishment. “Just bought all her music back so it’s finally hers, man, I appreciate that, dog,” he said, showing his admiration for her achievement.
Swift had announced on May 30 that she had successfully purchased the master recordings of her first six albums, which had been sold to Scooter Braun’s label in 2019.
Swift’s purchase was met with widespread fan support, with Spotify reporting a massive increase in streams of her albums. Other celebrities also shared their excitement for the momentous occasion by congratulationg Swift on social media.
Travis, who initially showed his support by liking Swift’s announcement on social media, was just one of many public figures to celebrate her reclaiming her music.
