ISLAMABAD:

The weekend breakfast scene at 'Breakfast Point' has become a sensation, with families and couples flocking to enjoy not only delicious food but also the serene surroundings, creating a new weekend tradition.

A shift is underway in how families across Pakistan are embracing their weekend mornings. Rather than sticking to traditional indoor breakfasts, many are now opting for the great outdoors, especially in parks and scenic spots. This trend is rapidly gaining momentum, particularly among young families who value quality time together in nature.

According to recent reports, outdoor family breakfasts are quickly becoming the new norm. Parks, gardens, and scenic spots are seeing an increase in gatherings, with families enjoying the fresh air and picturesque views as they share breakfast. "We love spending our Sunday mornings at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Lahore," shares a mother of two, highlighting the appeal of fresh air and green spaces for weekend bonding.

In response to the rising demand, local vendors are tailoring their offerings to cater to this new tradition. Popular breakfast spots now feature special menus, including everything from parathas, omelettes, haleem, and nihari, to fresh juices. Some are even offering themed breakfasts, such as traditional Pakistani dishes or international options like pancakes and waffles.

For many, the outdoors have become an extension of home. "It's a great way to spend time with family while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings," says another local citizen. A father of three from Islamabad adds, "We often visit Shakarparian Hills on weekends. It's a wonderful way to bond with our kids and create lasting memories."

This outdoor breakfast trend isn't confined to just one city. Breakfast points in Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Karachi are also capitalizing on this growing interest. "We've seen a huge uptick in demand for outdoor breakfasts on weekends," says the owner of The Breakfast Club in Lahore's Gulberg, noting that their special outdoor menu and relaxed ambiance have become a favorite among customers.

Hotels and restaurants in Islamabad are also catching on. One well-known hotel reports that more and more guests are opting for outdoor seating to enjoy their meals with a scenic view. In Karachi, a popular restaurant sees the same trend. "We offer a buffet-style breakfast with a variety of options, and our outdoor seating area is always packed on weekends," says Maria, a restaurant representative.

As this trend continues to grow, it's clear that outdoor family breakfasts have become a cherished weekend tradition. Whether it's a visit to a scenic park, a rooftop café, or a small family-run eatery, families are finding new ways to make their weekends special and memorable.
