According to diplomatic sources, the agenda of the meeting was originally supposed to be on the subject of putting the strategic dialogue back on track. However, sources told The Express Tribune that the agenda of the meeting is expected to have a narrow focus, with the United States blaming Pakistan for the Kabul attack."
The meeting comes days after a nearly day-long attack near the U.S Embassy and NATO Headquarters in Kabul by terrorists left at least four people dead.
Earlier on Saturday, the Pakistan Ambassador to the US Cameron Munter blamed the Haqqani Network, believed to be based in North Waziristan, for the attack and said that there was evidence linking Pakistan government to the Haqqani Network, which must stop.
The Pakistan delegation meeting Secretary Clinton tomorrow will also include the Pakistan Ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani and Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir.

Vienna,19-09-2011 Elsewhere I have read HRK has already spent three and half hours with HC, who spoke nothing but attack on Kabul Embassy.ONE POINT AGENDA.If they are meeting again this afternoon that will be follow up. Hope Pakistani troika establishment changes colours!!! It is high time. It is said by the wise of Indian subcontinent of the the old good people speak what is on mind and implement what what they say.On the contrary THIRD WORLD third class people think one way, speak another way do yet differently. @hassan: Thats a really great solution. But do you know why that never happened? I am sure you assumed you are the first person in past 100 year to think that. There is nothing common Pakistani, Irani and Afghanistani or Balochi people. Except that they are all muslim and that Iran and Pakistan (recently ) have common pain in rear called USA. Besides that Pakistanis are ex Indians who are so confused that and so desperate to change their identity that since past sixty years you guys have systematically tried to erase your indian link by accepting arabic culture and trying to remove Indian sub continent identification. Iran on other hand are "originals" they have their identity they identify themselves as Irani and not "Arabic" while recetly quite many in Pakistan are dying to identify themselves as Arabic. How f'ed up is that?? Seriously loosers attitude. @ET : Nothing here I said is offensive, please read it carefully before deciding to block it. There are far more direct and offensive comments than this which we often come across in many articles.
Easier blaming than taking responsibility. Tell me one country or occasion where Americans got involved and had success? Success for them is if they can install their puppet government against the people's wish or destrory the country to stoneage and get the heck out of their as quickly as possible. Look at Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Pakistan. the truth is, you cannot enforce your wish on others in the name of "YOUR" interest by ignoring the interest of the people living there.
The shortest distance to any Pakistani border from Kabul is about 230 miles. If so called Haqqanis can jump in their bikes with rocket launchers and ammunition without being detected by so called spy satellites, then it's the ISAF's incapability to fight the war and eventually blame others. It's about time Americans should write off Afghanistan as "BAD INVESTMENT" and get the heck out. Avoiding another war with Pakistan is not only in their interest, it's in the interest of avoiding 3rd world war against Islam and the West.
Pakistanis living in USA welcome their Future Prime Minister and the real face of new generation in the country. Keep up Hinna, we Pakistanis in USA will support you in all respect. All the best.
I have a better idea.
Why can't we merge our country with Iran and Afghanistan and form a kind of United Arab Republic? We will have common defence and common currency and for rest of matters, the provinces will have autonomy. UAE functions on such principles and they seem to be doing well.
If we do this, there will be free movement of people in this region. Unemployment will cease and there will be prosperity. Iran and Afghanistan can take benefit of our food production capabilities, whereas we will benefit from their energy supply.
Iran and Pak can build infrastructure in Afghanistan which will help their people and will eliminate Taliban and Al-Qaeda. With IT, most of the problems of common man can be solved.
This is an out-of-box solution to keep Baloch and Sindhi nationalistic issues at bay!
What else the American leaders can say. They have to put the blame on some one for their failed strategy and Pakistan is their all time favourite escape goat. Americans have developed an addiction to the " Pakistan, Do More" lullaby. Even if Pakistan finally moves against the Afghan Taliban in North Waziristan, the US demand for "Do More" will not end at that. Sooner or later another demand for "Do More" will be placed at our door step for some thing which only the American mind will be able to imagine. Proof or no proof, US can always declare that they suspected a linkage between Pakistan Government and those who attack their bases in Afghanistan. After all, all such previous declarations and Demands for "Do More" have been paying rich dividends in favour of US. Who bothers about what Pakistan has lost in the process.
Hina Rabbani Khar or any of the other Politicians are all in their current positions for the decorative value they display. She cannot make Foreign Policy and she cannot change any policy either. Both Clinton and HRK as well as all foreign diplomats know this. Clinton knows it is a waste of time meeting such irrelevant people but diplomatic niceties cannot be compromised. HRK is in her job for the glamour quotient and global exposure that she gets. Clinton got no time to waste and will not stay a minute longer in office if she feels she cannot contribute. This is a David - Goliath mismatch but a photo op nevertheless.
It should be expected. We have to shut the Haqqanis down.
i just don't understand why we cannot or will not arrest or terminate known terrorist that roam Pakistan. We know who many of them are and we know where they are but we fail to arrest or convict them. We need to introduce a zero tolerance policy and until we do Pakistan will continue to suffer
She will also cancel US visit plans .. floods ..
Clinton is tough on getting Haqqani network for a long time. Munter says the same in Islamabad. Mullen says the same to Kyani. Paneta says the same. All are saying it again in one voice after Kabul shoot out.
At present the Palestinian problem occupying Clinton's time, I wonder how seriously PAK denial will be accepted.
Above all how much really Khar knows about the secrets ISI is conducting behind her back.
I sense something seriously brewing on Haqqani network.
