Five AJK cops martyred as van plunges into ravine

MUZAFFARABAD:

At least five police officers lost their lives when a police van plunged into a deep ravine in the Tolipir area of Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), on Wednesday.

Upon receiving the news of the accident, the administration and police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from the vehicle.

The deceased policemen were identified as Assistant Director Regional Office Rawalakot Zakir Awan, Inspector Chaudhry Naveed Ahmed, Yasir Bashir Kayani, Sub-Inspector Ali Bukhari, and Constable Faheem.
