Schoolteacher attacked over land dispute
Men on a motorcycle threw a chemical at a schoolteacher over an agricultural land dispute, causing severe burns.
The teacher was shifted to a hospital after the attack.
According to the police, schoolteacher Mashkoor Ali, a resident of Sangla Hill, stated in a complaint filed with the Tarkhani police that he was travelling in a van along with his wife Bushra Bibi and eight-year-old son Ahmed Mashkoor whe he was attacked.
He stated that when he reached near Saloni Jhal, his opponents Faisal Shakoor and Usman Shaukat, residents of Samundri, with whom he had a dispute over his two-Kanal agricultural land, stopped his vehicle, took out a pistol and threatened to kill him.
He said that meanwhile, the suspect Faisal took out a bottle and threw a chemical on his face and arm, causing severe burn injuries on his face and forehead.
The complainant said the attackers escaped from the spot when his wife and son shouted for help.
