Demi Lovato and Jordan “Jutes” Lutes are officially married. The couple exchanged vows on Sunday, May 25, in an intimate California ceremony, as confirmed by Vogue.
Lovato wore a custom pearl white Vivienne Westwood gown made from heavy silk satin, featuring a corset bodice and cathedral-length ivory tulle veil. After the ceremony, she changed into “The Audrey,” an ivory silk satin column dress adorned with hand-attached pearls.
Originally from Ottawa, Lutes began his creative journey in film and basketball before turning to music. He was previously signed to Capitol Records but chose to go independent, valuing creative control over industry constraints. “I love being totally in charge of my own career,” he said in a past interview.
Lutes met Lovato in 2022 while co-writing several songs for her Holy Fvck album. His songwriting credits include "Substance" and "Happy Ending"—tracks praised for their emotional depth. Lovato has called him her best friend, and their professional collaboration soon blossomed into romance.
In December 2023, he proposed with a pear-shaped diamond ring following a personal serenade.
Beyond music, Lutes is open about his mental health and sobriety journey, a shared foundation with Lovato. "It took a long time to be ready, but I’ve never felt better mentally and emotionally," he wrote after reaching 100 days sober in 2022.
