Olympian Arshad Nadeem crowned Asia's best male athlete

Pakistan’s star javelin thrower and Olympian Arshad Nadeem has been named the Best Asian Athlete by Asian Athletics, recognising his remarkable achievements on the continental stage.
The prestigious award was presented during an official ceremony on Sunday in Gumi, South Korea, following the Asian Athletics meeting. The accolade highlights Arshad’s outstanding performances and his significant contribution to athletics across Asia.
Taking to his official X account, Nadeem expressed his gratitude, writing: “Honoured to receive the 'best male athlete of Asia' award by Asian Athletics. I am humbled and recharged to give better performances.”

This honour adds to Nadeem’s growing list of accomplishments and underscores Pakistan’s rising prominence in the world of athletics.
Notably, he became Pakistan’s first-ever individual Olympic gold medalist and the nation’s first athletics medalist at the Summer Olympics, clinching gold at the 2024 Paris Games with an extraordinary throw of 92.97 meters.
Throughout his career, Nadeem has amassed an impressive haul, including four golds, one silver, and four bronze medals across major events such as the Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, South Asian Games, and Asian U20 Championships.
Looking ahead, Nadeem is set to compete in the upcoming Asian Athletics Championship in South Korea, where he will continue to represent Pakistan on the international stage.
