Pakistan has extended its airspace ban on Indian flights until June 24, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) confirmed on Friday.
The ban, initially imposed on April 24, will remain in effect until 4:59 am on June 24 and applies to all aircraft registered in India, as well as those operated, owned, or leased by Indian airlines and operators, including military flights.
The statement further clarified that no flight operated by Indian airlines or aviation operators will be permitted to enter or transit through Pakistani airspace during this period.
Indian carriers have been forced to reroute international flights, resulting in longer travel times and higher operational costs. Some flights have been delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled, with passengers facing disruptions and increased fares.
The PAA assured that the situation is being monitored closely and the restrictions will remain in place until further notice, amid rising diplomatic and military tensions between the two countries.
