Sindh to launch AI task force for unified innovation

Artificial Intelligence (AI) experts in Karachi, along with professionals from key sectors including science and technology, health, and education, have agreed to collaborate and share expertise. A recent meeting of AI specialists, held at a local hotel in Karachi, brought together experts from both public and private sectors.
The gathering included AI professionals and technology experts from various institutions. During the session, participants agreed on the need to consolidate individual efforts being made in the field of AI across Pakistan - particularly in Sindh - and to learn from each other's experiences.
In this informal session, experts reached a consensus on forming a task force to promote more effective, integrated, and innovative work in the AI sector within Sindh. This task force will include specialists from both government and private sectors and will operate at the provincial level.
The experts also discussed evaluating the current scope and focus of AI-related research being conducted in industry and academia. Participants included Proxima CEO Adnan Zaidi, PAF-KIET's Dr Khalid Khan, Security AI's Ayaz Ahmed and Raza Abbas, FAST's Sofia Hussain Ehtesham and Mohsin Kareem, and several other specialists.
