Election tribunal orders recount of votes in NA-251

Justice Aamir Rana of the Balochistan Election Tribunal has directed a fresh vote recount at 22 polling stations in the NA-251 constituency, which includes Zhob and Killa Saifullah districts.

The decision follows a petition by the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP), raising concerns over alleged irregularities in the February 2024 general elections.

The recount will be conducted at the Election Commission's office under official supervision, with contesting candidates and their legal teams present to ensure transparency and procedural fairness.

PkNAP Chairman Khushhal Khan Kakar has appointed prominent legal expert Salman Akram Raja.
