KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have announced a protest march across Sindh demanding the release of the party's founding chairman. The march will take place from May 23 to 25, starting in Karachi and culminating in Sukkur. PTI's central and provincial leadership is expected to participate.

Addressing a press conference at her residence, PTI Central Additional Secretary General and former opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, said that the march will begin after Friday prayers on May 23 from Sohrab Goth. Participants will travel through Hyderabad and Nawabshah, reaching Sukkur on May 25. A public gathering will be held in Sukkur, where central and provincial leaders will deliver speeches.

Firdous emphasised that the protest march would be entirely peaceful. However, she warned that if authorities attempt to block the march or use state machinery against participants, they will stage a sit-in at the spot.
