
Pakistan’s baseball team delivered a dominant performance to defeat India 14-1 in the semifinal of the West Asia Baseball Cup, booking their place in the final against Palestine.
The match, played in Karaj, Iran, ended after seven innings under the mercy rule, with Pakistan asserting control early on and never looking back. The defending champions scored five runs each in the first and third innings to build an unassailable lead.

Third baseman Hussain led from the front, registering two hits, two RBIs, and scoring four runs. Centre fielder Wasim Akram and designated hitter Muhammad Rehan also impressed, combining for four hits and four RBIs.
Starting pitcher Muhammad Haris allowed just one earned run and struck out four batters over 4.1 innings. Relievers Syed Muhib Shah and Hussain Imam closed out the game with 2.2 scoreless innings, striking out five.

India struggled both offensively and defensively, managing only four hits and committing 10 fielding errors. Their pitchers added to the woes with eight walks. India’s lone run came in the first inning.
Pakistan Federation Baseball President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, in a video message following the win, dedicated the victory to the armed forces of Pakistan.

Pakistan will face Palestine in the final on Wednesday (today) as they aim to defend their title.
