Peppa Pig has a welcomed a new addition to the family after the birth of her newborn sister, Evie. Mummy Pig announced the birth of her daughter early Tuesday morning at 5:34am, confirming the news live on Good Morning Britain.
The baby's arrival follows a February pregnancy reveal and a Battersea Power Station gender announcement that lit the towers in pink.
According to the segment, Mummy Pig gave birth at the Lindo Wing in London, the same private maternity hospital where Kate Middleton delivered her children. Daddy Pig shared the first official pictures, revealing the name Evie was chosen in honour of Mummy Pig’s Aunt Evie.
A town crier celebrated the birth with a plaque displaying all the key details. “Understandably Mummy Pig is resting,” host Richard Arnold said, teasing Daddy Pig’s upcoming first TV interview, which will share more about the special arrival.
Fans of the popular children’s series have warmly welcomed the news, with many expressing joy at seeing the beloved animated family grow once again.
