The IHC has sought reply from Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail authorities over a petition seeking contempt proceedings against them for disregarding a court order with regard to visitation rights of former PM Imran Khan, who is incarcerated in the prison.
IHC's Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir on Monday heard a petition filed by PTI leader and K-P Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Representing Gandapur, Advocate Raja Zahoorul Hasan stated that the IHC in Sept and Oct 2024 ordered the jail authorities to allow PTI founder Imran Khan meet with his family and party members but the order had not been implemented.
In reply to Justice Tahir's query as to what was the order, Hasan said the court had instructed the jail administration to ensure such meetings through a coordinator.
"You are talking about September and October 2024, but it is now 2025. You want us to take action against the coordinator and have him arrested?" the judge asked the counsel.
