On May 17-18, nine Khwarij affiliated with the Indian proxy network Fitna Al Khwarij were eliminated in multiple engagements across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, said the military's media wing on Monday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a major intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in the Lakki Marwat District. During the operation, the troops effectively engaged the Khwarij hideout, resulting in the elimination of five Indian-sponsored terrorists.

In a separate IBO conducted in Bannu District, two more Khwarij were neutralised by the security forces, ISPR said.

Meanwhile, in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District, a security forces convoy was ambushed by Khwarij. The troops responded with precision and sent two more Indian-sponsored terrorists to hell, the statement added.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, two brave sons of the soil embraced martyrdom—Sepoy Farhad Ali Turi (29), a resident of District Kurram, and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi (32), from District Kohat—having fought valiantly.

Sanitisation operations are currently underway in the surrounding areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining Khwarij elements, ISPR stated.

Also on May 17-18, security forces killed three terrorists affiliated with the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), an Indian-sponsored proxy group, during two separate operations in Balochistan province, ISPR said in a statement earlier on Monday.

The first intelligence-based operation was launched in the Gishkur area of Awaran District, following reports of the presence of India-backed terrorists.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, Indian-sponsored terrorist Younas was killed, while two Indian-sponsored terrorists got injured,” the statement read.

In a separate engagement in Turbat city, Kech District, security forces neutralised two more terrorists, identified as BLF commander Sabrullah and operative Amjad Bichoo.

Both were described by authorities as being actively involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies and targeted killings of civilians, the ISPR said, adding that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the scene.

ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate the scourge of terrorism, particularly that funded and orchestrated by Indian proxies. The sacrifices of the martyrs, ISPR added, further strengthen the nation’s determination in this ongoing fight.
