Gold prices continued to rise sharply on Monday in both international and local markets. Locally, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs4,000 to reach Rs342,500.

Similarly, the price per 10 grams rose by Rs3,429, reaching at Rs293,638.

In the international bullion market, gold prices climbed by $40 per ounce, reaching $3,241. This global surge has contributed to the rise in local gold rates.

The steady increase in gold prices reflects ongoing market volatility and growing investor demand for precious metals as a safe-haven asset.

Spot gold rose to $3,239.18 an ounce, recovering losses from the previous session. US gold futures gained 1.7%, settling at $3,242.60.

Spot silver increased by 0.8% to $32.52 an ounce. Platinum gained 0.4% to $992.06, while palladium remained steady at $961.22.
