Turkiye eyes stronger trade ties with Pakistan
Turkiye Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu has said that Turkiye and Pakistan enjoy deep-rooted historical ties and Ankara is keen to strengthen cooperation in multiple sectors including defence, tourism, business, agriculture and higher education.
Speaking at a meeting at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the ambassador stressed the need for a shift in mindset, saying "we are one nation and must act in unison with a sense of common purpose". He said that there was immense potential to boost trade and economic ties between the two nations.
LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad expressed gratitude to Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who extended full support to Pakistan in critical times.
