Man held for sexually assaulting minor

Nawab Town police arrested a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old boy, following a prompt response to a call received on emergency helpline 15.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Zafarullah, allegedly intimidated the child before committing the assault. Upon receiving the report, police swiftly registered a case and managed to trace and arrest the accused within hours.

The suspect has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further interrogation.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old woman attempted to take her own life by ingesting a chemical substance following a domestic dispute with her husband in Lahore's Chung area.

As per the initial reports, the woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly consumed the chemical in a fit of rage after a heated argument with her husband.
