Rapper and YouTuber DDG has broken his silence following the restraining order granted to actress Halle Bailey, who accused him of multiple incidents of physical abuse.

The court order, issued in mid-May 2025, temporarily bars DDG (real name Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) from contacting Bailey or their one-year-old son, Halo.

The 25-year-old Little Mermaid star claimed in court documents that DDG attacked her during a January 2025 altercation, allegedly slamming her face into a car’s steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth and bruised arm. The restraining order also temporarily grants Bailey sole custody of their son and restricts DDG from applying for travel documents for the child.

In his first public reaction, DDG took to X (formerly Twitter) to downplay the situation. “i’m chillin btw.. i have no worries streaming later on, no days off!” he posted on May 14, signaling that he intends to continue streaming content despite the serious legal accusations.

The response sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some fans questioning the tone of his message given the severity of the claims.

As legal proceedings move forward, both DDG and Bailey are expected to appear in court on June 6, when further custody and protective order decisions will be considered. Neither party has issued an in-depth public statement beyond their legal filings and social media updates.

The case continues to draw national attention as more details emerge surrounding the high-profile couple’s split and ongoing custody battle.
