Blake Lively has denied new allegations made by Justin Baldoni’s legal team that she threatened Taylor Swift to publicly support her in the ongoing It Ends With Us legal dispute.
The claims surfaced in a court filing from Baldoni’s attorneys, who allege Lively warned Swift that private texts could be leaked if Swift declined to issue a supportive statement.
The allegations stem from a tip reportedly provided by an anonymous source described as “highly likely to have reliable information.” Baldoni’s legal counsel, Bryan Freedman, claims that the request for public support was followed by an implication that personal messages could be exposed if Swift did not comply. The letter also states Swift’s attorney responded to the supposed threat, which Baldoni’s team now seeks to investigate through a subpoena.
Blake Lively’s attorney, Mike Gottlieb, strongly refuted the accusations in a statement to PEOPLE, calling them “categorically false” and criticizing the use of anonymous sources. “We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations,” Gottlieb said, calling the claims “untethered from reality.”
Taylor Swift’s team has also issued a firm response, distancing her from the case and slamming the subpoena as an attempt to draw public attention. Swift’s involvement in the film was limited to licensing her song “My Tears Ricochet,” and she reportedly had no creative or production role.
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni continues to draw public interest, with both parties accusing the other of misconduct in relation to the film’s production. Lively’s lawsuit alleges harassment, while Baldoni has filed a $400 million countersuit for defamation and extortion.
