RAWALPINDI:

A significant amendment has been made to Pakistan's Family Laws Court Act of 1964 under Section 6A of the "Hague Convention 1980."

The amendment now prohibits either parent from secretly or fraudulently taking a child abroad without the consent of the other. According to senior Supreme Court lawyer Shahnzaib Khan, the move is a major step forward in family law.
