The Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA) has declared that all blood banks in the province have been asked to ensure availability of all blood groups in case any need arises.
All district health officers have been instructed to assess the availability of blood and related products at blood banks, ensure compliance with SOPs, and provide an inventory report to the SBTA.
The Secretary of the SBTA, Dr Dur Naz Jamal, stated that they have always ensured the availability of blood during natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, and processions. She stated, "My focal points are active throughout Sindh and are collecting inventory data from blood banks. We will have a complete record within a few days."
