CM Maryam hails 'victory in the skies'
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid tribute to Pakistan Air Force on the social networking website 'X'.
She said, " Pakistan Air Force (PAF) as being the custodian of our dear homeland's airspace have brought Pakistan a glorious victory in the skies by showing their exemplary skills, excellent strategy and unparalleled courage ."
She highlighted, "The performance of Pakistan Air Force has set the highest standards of excellence in the field of air warfare."
She congratulated and paid tribute to the Pakistan Air Force for manifesting heroic defence of Pakistan. The chief minister saluted the professional expertise of PAF.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said during a meeting with Ambassador of Finland Hannu Ripatti,
"Peaceful coexistence and mutual respect are an integral part of our shared values."
She appreciated Finland's progress in the field of education and technology, and emphasised the need to enhance cooperation in other sectors between the two countries.
It was agreed to increase high-level contacts to promote diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Finland.
The chief minister welcomed the restoration of the embassy of Finland in Islamabad. She maintained, "Relations between Pakistan and Finland are based on democracy and sustainable development. Finland's expertise in education, technology and environmental protection is worth emulating. Pakistani community living in Finland is playing a positive role in the progress and development of Pakistan and Finland."
She highlighted, "The collaboration between Pakistan and Finland on international vocational training' is an important milestone."
She added, "There are numerous opportunities available for Finland in various sectors of Punjab such as renewable energy, agricultural technology, digital services and education."
In another development, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the Christian community on the election of American-born Cardinal Robert Prevost as Pope.
She expressed her best wishes for the pope and expressed the hope that he would carry forward the noble mission of connecting the world in a relationship of love and tolerance.
In another statement, the chief minister expressed grief over the death of former PML-N parliamentarian Haji Irfan Ahmed Khan Daha.
