The sequel 'Godzilla x Kong: Supernova' begins production for 2027 release with new teaser
The next Monsterverse sequel, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, begins production with a teaser hinting at key details.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have officially announced the title and production start of the next chapter in the Monsterverse. The highly anticipated sequel to Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire will be titled Godzilla X Kong: Supernova. The film is set to hit theaters on March 26, 2027.
Along with the title reveal, the studio released a short teaser video that offers a glimpse into the world of the film. The teaser shows an office for Monarch, the mysterious organization that tracks the giant, destructive Titans. In the video, a computer displays a hotline number, (240) MON-ARCH (240-666-2724), that fans can call for an automated message. The message from Monarch states: “Thank you for calling the Monarch Community Support Hotline, your global resource for Titan response and relief. Your help reporting Titan sightings plays a critical role in keeping our world safe.”
Supernova marks the sixth movie in the Monsterverse series, following the success of 2024’s Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. The human cast will see Dan Stevens reprise his role as Trapper, with new additions including Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill.
The teaser also subtly references past films in the franchise, including a callback to Godzilla: King of the Monsters, with a call originating from Sedona, Arizona, the location where the spider-legged monster Scylla was awakened. Additionally, the video includes fun Easter eggs, such as a Godzilla bobblehead and a mug with the phrase “Keep Kong and Carry On.”
